Uni Connect Programme Logo

Uni Connect provides sustained and progressive targeted higher education outreach to young people in Years 10 to 13 living in areas where the proportion of young people entering higher education is low and lower than might be expected given their educational attainment.

997 target areas have been identified, which have:

  • low levels of young participation (POLAR3 quintile 1) and lower than expected levels of young participation, considering Key Stage 4 attainment and ethnicity (quintile 1 or quintile 2), or
  • low levels of young participation (POLAR3 quintile 1) and lower than expected levels of young participation, considering Key Stage 4 attainment only (quintile 1 or quintile 2).

Find out more about targeting and how we determine the schools we can support. Alternatively, if you are looking to find out if individual students fall under the target wards, you can use the postcode checker.

What we offer

ThinkHigher deliver free activities to schools and colleges throughout our region. Our activities help young people make informed choices about their futures and include assembly style sessions, classroom size workshops and 1:1 guidance.

As well as in school sessions, we also coordinate and deliver on campus sessions at one of our two partner universities, where we can.

Project Work

Our strategic work is open to all students that are eligible and we are always happy to come into schools or colleges to discuss what we projects they can get involved in. If this is something that you school or college would be interested in, please contact us at

What if our school/college isn't eligible for support?

Where we can't offer in school support directly, we will always try to support schools or colleges in the the locality to find an alternative option. This may be directing you to one of our partners who can offer school visits or outreach support.

Take a look at our partner pages to see what else is available.

Alternatively, if you are part of the Coventry or Warwickshire Careers Hub, they regularly send out communication and free opportunities for schools or colleges to get involved in which can contribute towards meeting Gatsby Benchmarks.
