Your Future Careers Roadshow

How it Started

In the 2021/22 academic year, Thinkhigher launched the 'Your Future Roadshow'. An impartial event delivering 20 minute sessions on Higher Education, Further Education, Apprenticeships and Preparing for the Workplace.

The event travelled to 15 schools across Coventry & Warwickshire to deliver impartial information to year 10 students The roadshow provided all participating students with knowledge on what options are available for them post-16, allowing them to feel more confident making the best decision for them.

We have reached over 3000 students and we followed the school roadshows up with a weekend event for Parents & Carers which was a huge success!

Virtual Roadshow

Our 'Your Future Roadshow' was such a success that we rolled the roadshow out virtually for the first time in 2022/23. As a result, we delivered to nearly 1500 Year 10 and 11 students over two consecutive days.

This year, we held another Virtual Roadshow in June 2026 and targeted Year 8 and Year 9 for the first time. Over 1000 young people joined the call to gain knowledge about Apprenticeships, Further Education, and Higher Education. It was a huge success, with schools already wanting to sign up to the next!

Plans for 2025/6

This academic year we held two events under the Your Future portfolio of work.

• Your Future Roadshow Year 10, Friday 17th April
• Year 8&9 Virtual Roadshow, Wednesday 24th June

Each event is tailored to the needs of the students engaging and attending whilst remaining impartial, providing guidance and support for different age groups and abilities in order for them to make the best next step for them.
